IDA white paper on membrane cleaning
The IDA Research & Development Committee aims to be ‘the global platform for research and development in water desalination and water reuse’. Disseminating information is an important part of this mission. To that end, the IDA has invited renowned experts to prepare white papers.
I was honoured to be invited to write a paper on membrane cleaning and present it at the World Congress in Tianjin in October 2013.
The Paper, ‘Membrane cleaning – explaining the science behind the art’, demystifies RO membrane cleaning and discusses when to clean, what to clean with and how to clean. It also explores some recent innovations in membrane cleaning with case study examples.
Following some revisions, the paper has now been formally published on the IDA website. You can download it here.
