Back to work in Libya, and new distributors in Namibia and the Maldives.

We’re delighted to announce that our Libyan distributor, ZULAL Water Technology (ZWT), have recently resumed full operations in Libya as the country begins the process of reconstruction.

ZWT is working closely with clients to help resolve their water and waste water needs. Over the past few weeks they have helped to restore the water and waste water facilities at a major oil company, allowing the workers to return to the plant to recommence production.

ZWT’s CEO, Iftikhar ul Haq, told us, “ZWT was able to execute the project immediately upon request, and our team were among the first people to enter the oil production facility following the recent upheavals.”

As the Genesys family continues to grow we find ourselves getting to places other membrane treatment companies don’t reach. David Golding has recently been lucky enough to visit the Maldives, where we’ve agreed to work with Aquareef, a division of Static Group. David was generously hosted by Aquareef’s Marketing and Sales Manager, Hussain Salman, who also doubled as chauffeur using the islands’ ubiquitous form of transport – a 125 cc motorbike.

He was also fortunate enough to enjoy dinner aboard Static Tours’ award-winning cruise boat, Dhaain Khanbaa. The boat provides the ultimate in luxury accommodation and facilities to passengers as they tour the Maldives’ 2,200 coral atolls. These include fresh water provided by two reverse osmosis plants designed, built, installed and maintained by Aquareef.

David has also recently visited Namibia, where we have been invited to work with Heat Exchange Products (HEP Water), the country’s leading water treatment company.

A former German colony on the west coast of Africa, Namibia is home to all of the big five game animals as well as Uranium mines, fisheries, breweries and smelters.

In addition to chemicals, HEP Water supply laboratory equipment and reagents from Palintest, dosing systems from ProMinent and a range of pump sets and diesel motors. This makes them a good fit for Genesys and a welcome addition to the family.

Henning Mercker, the company founder, once worked for Boeing Corporation but gave it up after three months because he was suffering from elephant withdrawal symptoms. Let’s hope he can bag some big game accounts for us!
