Genesys at the Palace of Westminster
18 May marked the State Opening of Parliament. The Queen left Buckingham Palace in a golden carriage, escorted by the Household Cavalry, to travel in procession to the Palace of Westminster. Ted Darton and Ursula Annunziata were fortunate to visit the Palace of Westminster later the same day, to attend a reception organised by our freight forwarders, Kestrel.
They report that the surroundings were truly impressive. They also had the opportunity to follow in Her Majesty’s footsteps to the House of Lords and take in the view along the Thames from the balcony.
The High Commissioner of Barbados, Guy Hewitt, was one of several distinguished guests, and the music of a steel band from his country enhanced a truly memorable evening.
Our hosts, Kestrel, are working with The Prince’s Trust International, and the trust’s chief executive, Alan Kennedy, also joined them for the evening.
Thank you, Kestrel, for the opportunity to learn about your expanding territories and services in such a fabulous setting.
